Laubwerk Plants is a wildly used vegetation plugin for major 3d platforms (c4d, 3dmax, maya), any plan to support it in the next release?

in addition, pressing "Ctrl + Tab" will maximin the current viewport that is under the cursor, this way can hide all the icon bar and tabs and maximin the viewport. Mabe this is another good way to do .

Hi Kirgman

Did you try this? C4D does have hiding the whole icon bar function by pressing "Ctrl+LMB" to the left 16 dots (see orange arrow). see the pictures below, I think this looks cool. There is also a way to hide the whole content by pressing "Ctrl+LMB" to the 3 lines icon.

Hi Kirgman

Can we have Volumetric Light in the next release?

I hope this can help

I think for the menu, if it can not reposition, remove it maybe helpful because we already have menu in C4D menu.

I think the UI can be improved by this
firstly, I highly recommend that you can put the Menu inside the icon bar, so that we can increase the render region about 10%

Secondly, I do think the icons are too big which eat the limited room of render region, I suggest that you can decrease the size of icons by 25%, so that we can get more 10% space for render region. so plus my first suggestion, we can totally increase the render region to 20%.

Thirdly, sometimes I don't want to see any information about render, so do we have an option to hide them?

Finally, do we have viewport manipulations like what Octane does have. So that we can zoon in, zoom out, rotate and move objects just in Centileo render viewport without need maintain C4D viewport anymore. That is very convenient for everybody.
Support to C4D Grass material

Hi Kirgman
There is a material called Grass Material (in Materials panel, select create -- classic materials ---- New Grass Material ). That material is driven by the same technology of hair with its shader, I do believe it is not hard to support it. But it is very useful and convenient for making architecture design and exterior design. I hope centileo can support it
Wish to support C4D Node material

Hi Kirgman
I hope you can support C4D Node material,
First, because it is node based, so it is easier to convert centileo shaders than standard C4D layer-based materials (But if Centileo can support default C4D shader, I think there is no need to support C4D node material, lol ).
Secondly, the C4D node material is support by Redshift, standard render and physical render, so it is the most versatile shader in C4D system. If centileo shader can support it, I do not need to re-create the shaders for Centileo individually, which will save tons of time for centileo users
Thirdly, the c4d node shader is fully developed by years, it has everything we need to create, it can be saved as capsule to reuse like asserts, very convenient.
No exclude function in rendering?

What I mean is that when you render some translucency or transparent object, you need to keep other things on, like to keep back stage on , or other related objects on, so that the transparent effects will look correct (because transparent/ translucency will be impacted by environment and other surrounded objects). But sometimes I want to keep the transparent objects with the same look, just need to change background , so that I need alpha channel for them. The problems is, there is no alpha channel for this scenario. See the picture

in this scene, I want to keep that look above, but that doesn't have alpha channel for the small objects; while, when I turned off the back stage object, it does have alpha channel for the small objects, however, the look for them are different. I want to keep above look, don't turn off back stage, and still have alpha channel for small object.

in C4D native renderer, it has a tag called Compositing, you just apply this tag and click off "Seen by Camera", this could be achieved instantly. see picture below;

In some cases, I need to exclude something to make alpha channel for them(but not disable them, they are still functional for rendering purposes , unlikely I can't find a way to make this happen. If there is a command like c4d Compositing tag that you can disable anything you don't want, that would be very handy.

object ID doesn't function, and there is a bug for it, when you assign it, there is nothing (no tag)appear in object manager, so that this way is cut.

HI, Kirgman
Very happy to see my wish list is on the road. Speaking Ramp, I can't find it in Node editor within CentiLeo material, (instead I find it on its normal material editor) see the picture below. What I mention is that what if we can have a robust Ramp(gradient) node with various types or modes and settings to make lots of thing happen. like C4D gradient node can make lots of patterns (see picture 2), which is really useful for making complex shader for photorealism or artistic expression, the current ramp node is too simple to make it.

My wishes for CentiLeo:

1, AOV motion Vectors for vector motion blur in Nuke, like what we do in maya here: https://area.autodesk.com/tutorials/custom-motion-vector-aov-with-motion-vector-shader/#:~:text=Appl....

2; Curvature shader
3: TurbulenceFD support(or openVDB) for cloud fire, smoke.
4: Spectral Hair Material
5: Volumetric light support
6: Random Walk SSS
7:Hosek-Wilkie Spectral Sky
8:native support Maxon Noise shader
9: caustics
10: exclude or include lights
11: native C4D gradient shader(node) support [not the basic gradient node], cuz it is really flexible for making complex shader

I am highly optimistic for CentiLeo, hope it's not too much pressure on you.LOL

does that mean when I choice video card, the CUDA numbers is the most important part for rendering using CentiLeo? More CUDAs, faster speed?

Just like toptic, Does CentiLeo support NvLink? like if I make two RTX A5000 Cards, can I use each 24G Vram to make a 48G VRam in CentiLeo via Nvlink?

and I also read this on the website of PNY, It says that "The NVIDIA RTX A5000 Hardware accelerated Motion BVH (bounding volume hierarchy) improves motion blur rendering performance by up to 7x when compared to previous generation." so Does CentiLeo utilize this hardware to accelerate motion blur?

Picture View Can Not Render Object under Perimetric Mode

HI Kirgman,
I suggest that you can make renderer automatically turn "Perfect sphere render mode" off, cuz 1st, sometime people don't know it would not rendered by this; 2nd, due to 1st reason, people create lots of perimetric spheres in the project, it's not convenient to turn them off for a lazy guy; the 3rd reason to do it is that, by default people would think you renderer sucks, lol. Thanks for letting me know it. Ha.

I found out that when I created a sphere in perimetric mode, it could be rendered in IPR, but it could not be rendered in Picture Viewer, unless I switched this perimetric sphere into polygon mode (type C key), (I have pictures but don't know how to upload it from my pc)... Is this the bug for current version or it is designed for Cinema 4D in the beginning? Rendering under Perimetric mode in Picture Viewer is a must have for C4D user, because there are tons of procedural things made in C4D. Hope hear your voice. Thanks

Hi Kirgman
I do believe a good render must be
1. artist friendly, delivering the best working efficiency.
2. easy to understand, without reading menu or watching tutorial.
3. with less settings as possible, easy to use, save time of artist.

I think the C4D workflow is perfect for majority, if Centileo render can follow c4d's philosophy, that would be benefit for all c4d user
I like to use c4d's layer based material system instead of using node based (because for middle and small project, node based has no working efficiency) , but if you can give us both of them, that would be perfect.

have a nice day.
