also render to Picture viewer seems not working because when you change to Centileo in Render preferences the tabs are empty.

Can I suggest something about the material preview scene?
please use a squared Area Light, this make the material preview a lot more sexy and I can see the Roughness value with more precision
can you send me the default material scene? just for some tests?

Bug: Centileo should avaluate the play and stop(please add a stop button) of the IPR, not the window.
because sometimes I need render in Picture Viewer but I want to maintain the IPR opened(not rendering, just opened).

Question: Are in the roadmap a separated config for preview and final rendering?
I think its very important IMHO.

I mean, not only rendering configs but hardware configs too.

+ Material default projection should be Cubic or UVW, currently Spherical seems a bit unconvenient.

+ DOF Sensor Width should respect Camera F-Stop value, like a real camera.
lower F-stop = more DOF.
high F_Stop = less DOF

+ Area Light scale should respect the size of the Area light DETAILS TAB(Size X and Size Y) that way I can edit the size via viewport with Area Light helpers..

+ please unclamp materials Weight sliders.
currently its clamped in 1 so I can't push some values beyond

+ in the IPR we need a camera chooser menu.
currently it only work with the active camera...this can be a problem for product rendering workflow.

this will be good by default.
currently we have the menu at the top centileo menu but we have this in Material manager too.

I know buddy, I'm just reporting what I see. i think its the reason for that Forum.

its possible implement a better feedback for sliders like color sliders?, now the ipr only update when you release the mouse button... will be nice if ipr update it in realtime like Octane and other render engines.

Hi Kirg! no freezes in 0.483 nicely done!, but material tag order still wrong.

always from left to right.
the most at right material tag will be always the top material on the render over the other tags.

I do not know if it is the best behavior, other renderers have a global option in Cinema 4D preferences and an option to override globals in the scene options. I think this is the best way to implement it.
Imagine that whenever I create a new scene I will need to adjust which GPUs I will use.
This is not good from the point of view of practicality.

Request feature: a channel for material alpha(Std Material) it will allow us to use a material stack like we have in Cinema 4D

plus: the material tags need to be avaluated from left to righ at object manager

Yes,translucency in a separate tab and with weight will make our material much more flexible.

SSS in one tab is more handy because you can adjust 3 layers in a easy and fast way.

We plan to do it in a couple of versions. There are many possible ways to do it. Need to figure out the most convenient one and do it. What good example reference would you recommend?


I love the Corona Renderer AOV management, is a state of art, its very handy! take a look!
and the C4D Compositing tag are a charm!

About alpha channel: is the same Geo Mask tab but in the std material. It is possible? Will be more handy that way.

Feedback:

Translucency can be a channel instead inside Diffuse?
Std material can be only with diffuse and an reflection coat on by default.
SSS channels can be grouped(splitted is not handy)
Translucency mix slider is not working
IPR status info can be off by default.
We need a bump intensity slider to positive and negative values(like cinema 4d standard material.
Our displacement need a scale input.
Our material can respect the material tag uv inputs? its very important.
c4d allow to use multiples uv tag per object
how Centileo manage that?
We need a compositing tag, a object buffer system and a material id output.
The displacement channel can be in the std material too?
We need a alpha channel to our material.(not like the multi material, we need one to hide some parts of the model.)

Hi guys! How I can set the value of displacement? I have a bitmap input but I dont have a unit of scale(like c4d displacement), It can be done per material or only globally? sorry my poor english.

Feedback: Centileo Camera on the menu: When you click it should create the camera assuming the position and rotation based on the editors camera, just like the c4d camera button works.

question: Centileo is ready for animation?

Feedback: I think the ipr size should be the same as the final output with a percentage control.
You can have 1920x1280 at the final render and preview it at 100% or 30% (640x426) of the size at ipr
the ipr size on centileo render tab is not handy.
