Decal [update]

The first option to setup Decals is to use the native material stacking in the list of Material Tags for each object. CentiLeo supports Material Tag options such as Tile, Repetitions, Offset, Length / Tiles and Coordinates. The native Cinema Texture mode with visual gizmo placement helps with setup of one material over another one.

Decal setup inside Node Editor

Decals can be set inside node editor when limited tiling is enabled for texture coordinates using UVW Projection or Transform node, where Tile Mode is set to "No tile". The same option is available in the Bitmap node. Also the setting of Repetions U/V inside Cinema 4D native Material Tag can be used to limit the tiling of texture coordinates.

When the "no tile" option is selected then the texture coordinates are not generated (become invalid) outside of the middle texture coordinate range [0..1], effectivelly generating only the the single original texture tile and setting the image only there.

The surface regions with invalid texture coordinates receive the color specified in the "out-of-uvw" parameter.

The other useful option to setup UVW Decal is Selection Mask Node which helps to restrict the texture coordinate generation the specified polygon selection.
