Allow Installation in User Prefs Folder

Hi,

I just installed CentiLeo and had a bit of trouble getting it started because I used the typical C4D method for installation:

  1. C4D > Edit > Preferences > Open Preferences Folder
  2. Copy plugin into the User Prefs folder
When I restarted, I couldn't find Centileo. I then followed the installation PDF a bit more closely and placed it in:
Code
C:\Program Files\Maxon Cinema 4D R21\plugins\CentiLeoR21

And was able to get it to run.

If it's technically feasible, please allow users to install in the User Prefs folder - installing to Program Files requires Admin Access and can sometimes slow down jobs as you need IT Support in order to do the installation.

Hi Keith! Welcome here! Thanks for hint... I always tested the plugins directory inside Cinema installation folder. But have now tested the directory located at "Open Preferences Folder". And it has "plugins" folder. It's like "C:\Users\User\AppData\Roaming\Maxon\Cinema 4D R21\plugins". I have copied "CentiLeoR21" from downloaded archive and it works too. Have you done it this way? It should be ...\plugins\CentiLeoR21
