Is 4K rendered faster with fewer iterations somehow?

I had been rendering all my scenes for a video in 1080p with 32 iterations, and that is what it always took to get a good clear render.
However, I just needed one final frame for a still shot and decided to do 4K with 32 iterations as well so that I could use a 3D camera in After Effects to zoom and pan and crop the shot.
It seemed like it was fully rendered in just a few iterations, and even though I let it go all the way to 32--which took like 10 minutes--it did not seem to get any clearer.

Is 4K rendered faster with fewer iterations in the new centileo? Or is this just a fluke with this one scene.

EDIT:
Maybe it is just this one scene, which is fairly less displacement heavy and not much lighting as my other scenes.

Tracked footage slows rendering to a crawl, 100% resampling 4K

I had a 10 second 4K clip and tracked it using c4d and set resampling to 100%.
when I rendered it gets to 0.5 iterations very fast (I set it to 1 iterations to test how it looks at first) and then it struggles to get to 1 iteration on the first frame.

I tried turning down the resampling to 30% and it rendered fine.
I think it was because at 100% it used 2 GB of ram.
however, I don't understand why this affected my render considering centileo uses gpu, and I have 64 GB of system ram.

I tested it twice and got the same results.
It could be a c4d bug or centileo. I am not sure.
Anyone encounter rendered frame getting infinitely stuck halfway?

I think this might have happened once in the old version a while ago, but I left a render going overnight and woke up to find it rendered 8 frames and then got stuck halfway on the 9th.
There was no error, and C4D was still responsive. It just got to 24.32 iterations and stopped working on the frame, but the total render time beside the iteration in the picture viewer was still counting up, so I know it was at 6+ hours. It just didn't want to render anymore.

The scene was one I previously did but with a minor change.
Is there any reason this would happen that I might prepare for?
Nothing complex was happening on the frames. Just polyfx on a small object.
Strange motion blur is making my objects partially invisible

For my scene I wanted to make it seem as though my space ship was flying through space. So I put the whole scene into a null and have it moving along the x axis, thinking that the HDRi of the starfield would appear as though the stars were moving backward as the ship 'flew' forward.
However, with motion blur enabled the interior becomes partially invisible. Is this a bug with motion blur?
My screenshots are of the first (zero) and second frames, and the motion blur doesn't take effect until the second frame, but you can see what it does.

Also, I was surprised to see that the stars don't appear to be moving past the windows in my scene like I thought.
Shouldn't they be?
I guess HDRi only sees movement if you rotate? If I want to see the stars moving past I guess I would need to have a plane object with stars bitmap moving past the windows?

Is caching necessary for dynamics to show in render? Mine don't.

I made a scene with a dynamic object attached to a motor so it spins.
It works in the viewport, but when I rendered the object doesn't spin at all.
Do I need to cache for it to render?

EDIT:
I cached the dynamics tags and it does spin now in render.
So all dynamics need to be cached to render properly?
Does this also apply to cloth?

one of my materials became broken when moving the scene into 0.65

The first image is what it looks like in 0.65 (ignore the ship in the foreground, the bitmap location was lost somehow and I fixed it), but the same scene in the old version has the mountain material.
But the mountain material cannot be loaded in 0.65.
These are the nodes. It is a bit more complicated than it needed to be, and I may fix it, but can you see any reason it would do this? Maybe one of the nodes I used broke the material when transferring into the new version, or it could be moving it from s24 to 2023?
How to make emissive object invisible to camera completely?

I made the emission nodes both 0 for camera, but the object still appears as a black object instead of being invisible.
Is there something to change to make this happen?
Any way to make God Rays with spotlight?, Any other useful things we can do with lights?

I am trying to recreate this type of effect with a spotlight behind my own character.
I cannot figure out a way to get this effect in my render without adding it in After Effects.
Is there a way?
I tries changing some spotlight settings that should give the effect, but none of them do it with centileo.
How to use Subsurface Scattering properly?

Other render engines like Octane and Redshift have you use either Diffuse and/or Transmission channels to get proper SSS.
In Centileo do we need to use diffuse or transmission at all, or do we only need to use subsurface to get it to work right?

Does this test seem about right? I didn't think I needed any extra channels until I saw some tutorials and wasn't quite sure.

render first frame is black and white then black frames.

I have a heavy render with lots of objects and materials, and when I try to render it is black and white and then black frames. If I try to render again it crashes centileo.dll

Only 6 GB of my 12 GB of VRAM is used during the rendering. What could be happening?

When the first frame is being rendered it starts off in colour and then quickly cuts to black and white before the first iteration is finished.

How to change sun light colour? The actual sun object., (just figured it out; colour tint :( )

I have tried many options but I can only change the light colour emitted by the sun and not the colour of the sun itself.
Please help?

EDIT:
I just figured out that I can use colour tint camera colour. However, the colour I select is not the same that shows up in the IPR.

Does centileo work with s26?

I know it isn't fully compatible tested, but does centileo for the most part work in s26 without major issues?
or what are the bugs that would prevent me from using it if I upgraded to s26 from s24?
Post-render settings only apply to IPR image but not final render?

How do you access the post-render settings so they save in the final rendered image?
It only affects my IPR images.
Render will show HDRi background image in picture viewer but is transparent black background in After Effects?

I can't figure it out. I have never had this issue before.
I rendered the same as I always have. 32 bit OpenEXR.
I have transparent background unchecked.
Does this make any sense?
Does anyone have good material for water? (hot4d)

I got Hot4d to work with S24 (I assume the tutorial also works for 25 and 26, but I can send anyone my working plugin if they want), and I am trying to get a good water material.
Does anyone have good tips?
I am using only reflection and subsurface and bump right now. I know it can look better.

I am also unsure exactly how the subsurface values work. Are the weights of each layer combined to total 1 or can each weight also be 1?
And I am not sure what the radius means for each layer.

What is CID tag for centileo? It does not seem to attach to objects.

I right click an object in the object manager and centileo tag does not attach to the object. It shows me the tag options menu but no tag is created.

And how do I use the vertex map node in the node space?
Does it reference objects with the CID tag?
I am trying to use fields to influence vertex map on an object to change colour/displacement/etc.
How to properly combine normal and bump maps?

Centileo materials only have one bump node without a separate slot for normals.
so what is the proper way to have bump and normal affect the same material?
Is it to combine them with an Add node?
Flickering reflections in surfaces and how to get rid of them?, happens constantly in certain reflective surfaces.

I have rendered something and certain surfaces have massive flickering in the lighting for the reflections, and I don't know exactly what to do to fix it.
It seems to happen with sunlight object or even just an HDRi lighting the scene.

It doesn't look like anything major in these screenshots, but it happens constantly in just about every frame and it's very noticeable in the video. (you might have to download the photos and flip through to really see the difference)

I thought maybe the exterior flickering was just the clouds in the HDRi moving by the surface reflections, but what would explain the interior flickering on the car panels?

Shadow composite not having same shadows as scene.

*EDIT:
I figured it out, there is a bug with Area light objects for centileo. Area lights have no Matte Shadow Weight. Only Omni lights and infinite lights do.
Spotlights don't appear to have any Matte Shadow Weight at all either.
_______

I am trying to composite this onto footage, but look what happens to the shadow when I apply shadow catcher to the plane object. The shadow looks completely different than what it should look like. And when I use After Effects it also shows the same incorrect shadow in my photo.
Is there a reason my shadow looks completely wrong when using shadow catcher?

I have one light object only with Matte Shadow Weight applied so I can achieve the shadow I am looking for.
I turned my Centileo Environment Tag for the Sky object down to zero for Matte Shadow Weight so it would not affect the shadow, but doing that takes the shadow away like in the second photo. Keeping that Tag Matte Shadow Weight at 1 looks like this, but it also doesn't have the shadow from my one light but instead has the light from the HDRi.
How do I get a shadow catcher to use my light object in my scene?

How to composite using Linear Workflow, and how to render multipass correctly

I am trying to test out using Linear Workflow compositing in After Effects, using a tutorial I found but that uses Octane multipass examples.
What is the equivalent to the 'beauty' pass for multipass in Centileo?
The only multipass layer that shows up in After Effects using the EXtractoR effect is 'background' (which I think in Centileo render settings is called RGBA, but After Effects recognizes it as Background instead). Is this correct?
But all the other passes I made, such as indirect/direct specular and indirect/direct diffuse, don't show up at all--just black screen.
Is specular the equivalent to Octane reflection pass?

I put everything in 32 bit like I was shown, but I don't know if there is any other setting for Centileo to activate Linear and/or Float.
Please any advice?
