How to get motion blur for render?

Thank you. I did not think to check the camera menu.
How to get motion blur for render?

I cannot find the motion blur option anywhere in the render settings.
all I can find is motion blur settings in the object tag for centileo, however, it is not clear how it works, and adding the tag did not give me motion blur.
I have a helicopter I want the blades to have blur from the animation I give them.
No exclude function in rendering?

with 3delight I am able to use the composite tag to have my ground object plane invisible to the camera but still give reflections to objects on top of it.
This is very useful for making the ground render as alpha so I can composite objects into after effects.
I hope this feature is available now or soon, or it is a deal breaker for me to switch to this engine.
I'm looking forward to starting to use this centileo.

Also, I need to be able to catch shadows on the same ground plane and render out a shadow pass. Is this possible?
It seems all you want is possible right now. Just make a ground plane, drop a material with "Matte / Shadow Catcher" option On. Swich on Alpha Channel AOV - and it will render shadows on the plane, but will not show the plane in alpha channel. Also you can use Sphere (Omni) light sources or HDRI Sky with Shadow Cacher intensity to change the strength of shadows casted on matte/shadow cacher object
How do I render objects with a transparent background so I can composite them into After Effects?
I tried with one and it had a white background but it wasn't transparent. Then I tried checking the 'transparent background' render option under render settings-->centileo-->AOVs/passes, and that gave me a black background but not transparent either.
I tried also checking 'alpha channel' and that did not help.

EDIT:
I checked 'alpha channel' under render settings-->save and that seems to work.
Do I still need transparent background and alpha channel checked in the AOVs/passes section as well to make it all work?

Yes, please do it. I need the project .c4d file to figure out the problem.
If I do a scene by myself I will do everything right and will not get any problems. The file you sent me is a .fbx spacecraft model. I have imported it and it renders very fast. But I need to see the problems that arise in you scene. 50Mb is not a problem, you can use a google drive for example and send me a link.
I sent a link for my mega.nz download.
I also just tested with a helicopter I used on another project and it renders just fine with no weird shape compression like the other object. But I still find it strange because the IPR looked fine.

EDIT:
I found the problem. My ship texture I used I think I applied the normal map incorrectly.
Removing the texture entirely from the object makes it render ok. I just need to figure out how to apply a normal texture. Is it under displacement? I applied it to the input filename under displacement and checked ls normal map under normal map.
I assume this is not correct?

Thank you for files sent, I see them and will check soon!
Btw, in previous message I have shown 6.48 iterations performed in 2:22 min. And now I see 16.14 iterations in 49 sec. Strange! But I will look inside
That screenshot is from a frame still in progress, but the 32 iterations (I left as default) took about 2 minutes.

Operating on rendering animation frames is done in Cinema render settings (button Edit Render Settings), menu item "Output". In this section you will be able to sel ect Fame Range to render.
Saving each frame automatically to file is controlled in Cinema render settings, menu item "Save". These are basics of Cinema 4D.

What's your scene? What is this green field? A texture? A forest? Surely it looks strange slow. Please can you send me this scene file for tests? I am curious what's whong there.
Ok, it was saving, I just did not include an extra slash symbol at the end of the path and so it was saving to the previous folder instead of my subfolder.

Now my only issue is the render does not have my object correctly. Look at how it looks in the viewport vs render. Even the IPR shows it properly. Why would the render show my object so wrong?

The grass has a displacement map texture, but why would the X-Wing be so wrong in the render?

I have sent the x-wing object file to info@centileo.com if you would like to look at it to see if the issue is something with the file itself.

CentiLeo lights, how do they work? I cannot make them more intense, Lights not able to brighten in IPR

The Sun Light object in CentiLeo menu is based on Cinema native Infinite light source + CentiLeo light tag. It has no position, it considers it's infinitelly long away from the scene. It only illuminates from a certain angle which is controlled by object coords.
If you want to change the shadow softness casted by object when illuminated by this light then just change the "Lighting angle" in CentiLeo light tag. Make it 1-30 degrees or anything.
If the light intensity become dim or very bright then change it either as Overall Multiplier in CentiLeo light tag or either as Intensity in General settings of this light object.
But is the distance property supposed to affect anything?

I am trying to figure out the Sun light now, and what does distance do? I change it and it does nothing to the position or intensity of the sun light.
Also, why is the lighting angle controlling how bright and large the sun light is?
I am just trying to get a normal sun light object to appear and light my scene as the real sun would, but ever time I make it the same size as the sun would really look by changing the lighting angle to something like 5 degrees, the light it produces gets very dim.
Why is the sun light so large (death star size) if I want the light it produces to look realistic?
How do you render?

I cannot figure out how to render frames. Which button or menu option renders the images?
I have centileo set as my renderer, I have everything ready to go, but I cannot figure this out.

Is it the "Render to Picture Viewer" button? That does render my image, but it takes quite a long time.
I am using a 3080Ti, and my resolution is only 1080p.
I used a CPU render engine before this, and it took much less time and even at 4K with much more objects to render.

I uploaded a sample frame; should this take 2 minutes to render?

Does centileo have a special render menu within the IPR or does it use the built-in picture viewer render for C4D?
And if this is the way to render, how do you make it save each frame automatically as it renders them? Mine do not save to the folder I set after each frame renders.

You can increase the multipliers larger than 1. Just type the value or use top-bottom arrows. 0-1 range is only for the left-right slider just to make the fixed range.
One guess is that you probably played with exposure too much or maybe with the scene scale. I just wanted to check this all by myself
Thank you. That works.

ok, I'll try that. By the way the slider looks it didn't seem like it went above 1. Maybe you can change it so that the slider can go higher, similar to the overall multiplier slider how it can go way higher and it's clear that it can?

Sorry I just saw this reply. I will try tonight.
the multipliers are default at 1 and go from 0 to 1, so I can't increase them anymore anyway, right?

I usually keep the camera multiplier at 0 so the light does not show up in the render as a black void.

CentiLeo lights, how do they work? I cannot make them more intense, Lights not able to brighten in IPR

I try to increase practically every setting for omni lights and even spotlights, but nothing really shows the light intensity increase very much at all.
The viewport shows the light getting stronger, but the IPR lighting is very weak and cannot get brighter, even when making the shape size several meters in radius. The scene just stays quite dark.
Overall Multiplier helps, but not after a certain point. And Light Pass does literally nothing as far as I can tell.
How do I brighten up an area using these lights?

Also, I had made a topic earlier but then deleted, because I made an omni light which did not light anything at first. It was only after increasing the radius that it lit up anything in my scene. I think the default radius for omni light is too small, as it does not light anything and only shows a small dot for the light itself, but does not illuminate the scene at all initially.
Any tutorial or documentation for how to use CentiLeo materials?, I need help

Strange, when I try that first texture again it now works. Maybe I didn't use the Tess button correctly like I thought.
And am I assuming correctly that if I wanted to use a normal map texture instead of the displacement I can just load the normal png into the input filename instead?
That seems to work and produce different results than the displacement png.

I added the displacement texture and it automatically connected the node for me. Even after clicking the Tess button my texture does not get any displacement at all.
I am just testing a gravel texture with a height map texture. It worked on another render but not centileo.

EDIT:
Ok, I tried a different gravel texture with a properly titled displacement texture and it does seem to work. This one even gets more displaced when I adjust the height scale property for the displacement material.
I think I can maybe figure out the rest. But a basic tutorial would be nice to have since many things for this renderer are quite different, although they are very customizable, which I like.

I am trying to get the feel of how this renderer works inside C4D, and I am having trouble texturing materials.
I cannot see how to make displacement work.
Is there a tutorial somewhere? I can only find a YouTube tutorial in Portuguese.
The node system is new to me, and I am trying to avoid using it. I just need help with mapping texture files to materials, such as displacement.
